If the icon is a shortcut from a website use step 1.

If the file is one you created use step 2.

Step 1

Right click on the icon you would like to change.

click on properties

click change icon

scroll and pick the new icon pic you want to apply.

click ok

click apply

your desk top icon should change.

in some cases you will need to restart you computer.

Step 2

If you are changing the look of a new folder you added Right click on the folder you would like to change.

click on properties

click on customize

click change icon

scroll and click the new icon you want

click ok

click apply

your desk top icon should change.

some cases you will need to restart your computer.
