Take Picture of Desktop

Did you know you can take a snapshot of your computer screen?

For standard key board use STEP 1

For laptops use STEP 2

STEP 1

Standard key board set up your desktop the way you would like the picture to be

Press the print screen key on your keyboard (may say prt scrn or print screen or pr screen each keyboard is a little different)

Next click start menu

Click accessories

Click Paint to save in your picture file( you can also save to documents, Microsoft Word, email...

For now I will explain how to save as a picture, you will be able to copy and paste to any other document from your picture file

Once you have hit the print screen button and then clicked start menu and accessories and paint

The paint screen will open

hold down the ctrl button and press "V" on your keyboard you desktop image should appear

Click file at the top of the page and then click "save as" then you can insert a name or title for your picture (make sure you have sellected to save to your picture file

Click ok

That is it, then you can go to your picture file and view or open picture and crop or copy and paste to some where else

STEP 2

From your laptop set up your desktop the way you would like the picture to be

On your key pad press and hold the "FN" button generally located at the botton left of your keys

While holding FN button down press the sysfq generally located at the top right corner of the keys

Release both buttons

Next click start menu

Click accessories

Click Paint to save in your picture file( you can also save to documents, Microsoft Word, email...
